چکیده
Photoelectrocatalysis is a novel technique that combines heterogeneous photocatalysis with the application of an electric field to system through electrodes for degradation organic contaminants in aqueous systems, mainly toxic dyes. The efficiency these combined processes depends on semiconductor properties catalysts, as well anodic capacity electrode. In this study, we propose use active hydrotalcites Congo red dye assisted by ultraviolet (UV) irradiation and current. Our research focused evaluating means photolysis, catalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, photoelectrocatalysis, identifying effect processes. results show maximum was reached photoelectrocatalysis process copper anode at 6 h 95% half-life 0.36 h. favored attack OH• radicals under double bonds diazo groups where electrode produces Cu2+ ions, photogenerated electrons, recombination speed electron–hole hydrotalcite catalyst reduced until complete degradation.

The present work concerns the experimental evaluation of hazelnut shells as a low cost natural biosorbent. Adsorption of the direct azo dye Congo Red was performed within a concentrations range of 50-5000 mg/L. Hazelnut shells were employed as organic support for Phanerochaete chrysosporium cultures to study the best cultural medium composition for the MnP production. The capability of Phaneroc...

متن کاملDegradation of Dyes (Methylene Blue and Congo Red Dye) Using Phosphomolybdic Acid
The phosphomolybdic acid (PMA) has been used as an adsorbent for the removal of dyes (Methylene blue and Congo red dye) from synthetic aqueous solution. Different factors of the adsorbent, like, contact time, pH of the sorption medium, concentration of the dye solution, were investigated by the batch sorption experiment. The adsorption equilibrium data was best fitted by the Langmuir isotherm m...
